Celebrating India

In Class 4, we been studying the topic of India. We have looked at many aspects of Indian life, including village and city life, occupations, schooling, climate and homes. We have also studied the religion of Sikhism.
Our Art has also been linked to the Indian theme and we have created symmetrical, mendhi and paisley patterns.

We have also looked at Indian food and we decided to have an Indian day, where we all dressed up in traditional costume and sampled typical Indian food. |
|
The staff from a local Indian restaurant brought the food to us and kindly explained the ingredients in each dish and how it was cooked. |
|
|
|
We thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and sampling the different cuisine! |
